Man steals liquor from Yoke's Market, hits employee

SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Valley Major Crimes Detectives are searching for a man who attempted to steal three bottles of liquor from Yokes Market and hit an employee who attempted to stop him on November 15.

A Yokes Market Employee saw a man enter the store, located at 13014 E. Sprague, around 12 a.m., and go to the liquor aisle.

The man grabbed three bottles of liquor and began running toward the front doors. The employee cut off the suspect's exit, and the suspect dropped two of the bottles, which shattered on the ground. The suspect swung the third bottle and hit the employee in the head before fleeing the store.

The employee stated he temporarily blacked out from the blow to his head and was bleeding heavily. He was given medical attention for his injuries.

The suspect is described as an adult, white or Hispanic, male with a dark mustache. At the time of the crime, he was wearing a red under-shirt, red and black poncho-style hoodie, gray pants, and a black beanie.
