SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Law enforcement has identified the suspect they believe was involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Spokane Valley over the weekend.
Traffic Unit Investigators from the Spokane County Sheriff's Office found video that helped them identify a 16-year-old driver.
Detectives found the suspect vehicle on South Bowdish Road with front-end damage consistent with the crash.
SCSO says the crash happened in the 12800 block of East Sprague Avenue in Spokane Valley (near the Bank of America) on January 28.
Deputies and Spokane Valley Fire personnel found a woman dead on the north side of the road.
According to SCSO, initial information indicated the woman left the Yokes in the area and was crossing Sprague from south to north toward Hometown Studios when she was hit by a vehicle going westbound.
This is an ongoing investigation.
