Humane Society trying to reunite owner with dog that fell out of moving truck in Spokane Valley

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - The Spokane Humane Society says a dog fell out of a moving pick-up near Forker Road in Spokane Valley this morning.

"He/she took a giant tumble and somersaulted off to the side of the road - and you kept going. A nice gentleman and his daughter stopped and picked up your dog," the Humane Society wrote on Facebook.

The Humane Society believes the dog is a wirehair griffon, or something like the one pictured above.

It had a blue collar on, but no tag. The Humane Society says the dog seemed to be doing okay but was a little shaken. If the dog is yours, please call SCRAPS at 509-477-2532.

And, the Humane Society added, "to the rest of you out there: please, please don't let your dog ride unrestrained in the back of your pickup truck!"
