Excitement on campus builds as WSU gears up for College GameDay

PULLMAN, Wash. - Ol' Crimson and ESPN College GameDay go hand-in-hand - the flag has made 216 straight appearances on the show as its made its way across the country. On Saturday, GameDay is coming to Pullman and Ol' Crimson will return home.

For three hours every Saturday morning during football season, one city, one school, and one flag sits at the center of the college football universe.

Pullman has never taken center stage - until now.

ESPN's College GameDay announced Saturday night on its Twitter - the show is coming to Pullman for the first times in its 25-year history.

"Everyone knows how passionate Cougs are for Washington State," says Pat Chun, WSU's Director of Athletics. "This was one of the places, I mean, they've been pretty vocal that they've wanted to come to in year's past."

Chun says the university is still working out the logistics of the visit, but it confident WSU and the Cougar faithful won't let the moment slip.

Chuns tell kxly4 that a crew from ESPN will arrive on campus Monday to scout locations.
