The department says, "whether you're new to winter driving or just need a refresher of what to do when the roads turn icy this class is for you. We will talk about driving in the snow, avoiding crashes, staying safe in the event of the crash, and what to do if you become stranded."

Although the classes are free, you must register to enroll. You can do that by calling the Coeur d'Alene Police Department  at (208) 769-2319 or register by emailing winterdriving@cdaid.org
