SPOKANE, Wash. - It's finally time for Coats 4 Kids! Here are all the details you need to know:
When is Coats 4 Kids?
The collection officially begins on September 27th and runs through October 31st. KXLY will accept donations at our news studio located at 500 W Boone Ave during these dates.
How can I be a part of Coats 4 Kids?
We love help with this collection. So, if you would like to be a part of it, please come in to our studios and get some collection materials from the front desk.
You can do this any time after September 18th. We are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
We will give you a box and bags for collecting coats as well as directions to Aramark in the Spokane Valley for mandatory cleaning.
We will also have you fill out a form so we can get your location up on our website and so that we can email you a Coats 4 Kids flyer to print.
Where can I donate?
You can always bring a coat into our studio! However, can't get to us, visit our Coats 4 Kids page at kxly.com/weather/coats4kids to find a location near you.
Where can I get a coat for my kid?
Distribution will kick off with 3 KXLY distribution nights on November 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Two in Spokane and one in North Idaho.
All we ask for from you is that you bring your kids in order to get a coat. Then the remaining coats will be brought to the local community centers that will be holding their own distributions.
Times and locations are still being ironed out for distribution, but updated information will be on the Coats 4 Kids website before the collection starts.
KXLY Coats 4 Kids Fair Day is September 17th from 10am to 7pm. Come to the Spokane County Interstate Fair this Sunday and donate a coat. You will receive a free fair ticket per coat for every child 13 and under that is with you. KXLY and volunteers will be present at each of the main gate locations.
