Cell phone fraud suspects arrested

HAYDEN, Idaho - Two women accused of attempting to defraud an AT&T store is Hayden, Idaho have been arrested by the Kootenai County Sheriff's office. 

 The two were taken into custody on November, 28. 

According to investigators Paradise S. Williams, 23, of Auburn, WA and Brittainney N. Lucenti, 28, of Puyallup WA are alleged to have stolen at least $5,000 worth of iPhones over the past several days.

Deputies said the pair entered the store and attempted to purchase four iPhone 8 plus' by providing both Verizon and AT&T with a fraudulent WA State business licenses and IRS documents indicating they worked for Heartland Mortgage Inc. based in Walla Walla, WA. 

Investigators allege Williams and Lucenti would use the forged documents to open new phone lines, purchase new phones, and then leave the store with the purchases being billed to Heartland Mortgage Inc.

According to investigators following the arrest, they recovered six iPhones, cash and several possible stolen credit/debit cards.

Williams and Lucenti are currently being held in the Kootenai County Jail.   Williams has been charged with Burglary, and attempted Grand Theft and Lucenti was charged with Burglary and Grand Theft by Possession of Stolen Property.
