SPOKANE, Wash. - After two years of renovations, the wait is finally over. Finally, the doors of the M building have opened, and KXLY 4 News got a look inside at the brand new M Apartments.
It's hard to imagine, but just years ago, the breathtaking views from units of overlooking downtown Spokane were boarded up. The furniture now in staged third floor apartments, assembled on floors that used to hold racks of clothes. It was the women's department of Macy's and now a two-bedroom, 1700 square-foot unit.
It can all be yours as Centennial Properties accepts applications for their 1400 units, some available for move in as early as mid-July.
Bryn West with M Apartments said, “we have a beautiful, safe, vibrant downtown, and you are going to be in the middle of it. Want to go to a movie? Five minute walk. Want to go out to dinner? Two minute walk. Its just going to be an experience unlike any other in Spokane.”
But it turns out,you might not even need to leave the building.
Tenants are going to have access to a theater room, yoga studio, game rooms and a business center with a boardroom-like space. There is also a rooftop deck with a kitchen accessible to all who live inside.
Units start at $1,300 and 650 square feet. There are two bedrooms and one bedrooms available.
Work on apartments like the pent houses is ongoing. In the coming weeks and months, we will continue to see floors open up for move in as well as more retail stores set up shop on the first and second floor, starting this Thursday with Nike.
