$10,000 worth of meth recovered in Okanogan drug bust

OKANOGAN, Wash. - On Monday, the North Central Washington Narcotics Task Force (NCWNTF), Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office, Omak Police Department, Twisp Police Department and the Okanogan County Special Response Team (SRT) executed two search warrants in the Okanogan area. 

In November 2018 the NCWNTF began investigating a drug trafficking organization which led to five arrests and two search warrants.  Law Enforcement is continuing the investigation and actively searching for at least one other suspect in connection with this investigation.  

Yesterday, warrants were served on two homes: the first on Elmway and the second on North 5th Ave. in Okanogan.

During the search large amounts of Methamphetamine, Cocaine and Heroin were seized. 

The following subjects were arrested:

29-year-old Maudean L. Vervalen 

Arrested on 4 felony charges to include 2-counts of Delivery of Controlled Substance, possession of Controlled Substance with intent to deliver, and possession of drugs by prisoner

45-year-old Clifton R. Scroggins

Arrested for two felony charges, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Cocaine

34-year-old Luis A. Orosco

Arrested for possession of Controlled substance Heroin, 2 Felony Warrants, and a misdemeanor warrant

52-year-old Stacy L. Rodriguez

Arrested for a Felony Warrant

32-year-old Ashley J. Pearl

Arrested for a Felony Warrant

The seized Methamphetamine has an estimated street value of $10,000.
