News to know on your Thursday morning
SPOKANE, Wash. — Happy Thursday! If you haven’t already, it’s time to dig out the sunscreen. Today it will be 90 degrees in Spokane and up to 96 in areas like Moses Lake. It will cool down for the weekend, though. If you have any outdoor plans to celebrate Dad, you can expect mid-80s.
School’s out for summer!
For many local kids, today is the last day of school. For students in Spokane Public Schools, today is also the first day to pick up a Spokane Youth Card– the new program which will allow SPS students (who live within city limits) to ride STA buses for free. The cards can be checked out from any Spokane Public Library branch starting this morning.
