New Seattle-Vancouver flight service to begin
SEATTLE — Two airlines are offering direct one-hour flights between Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia.
Kenmore Air, in a partnership with Harbour Air, will begin the service Thursday.
Officials said Microsoft President Brad Smith was a key proponent of bridging the 120-mile gap between Vancouver B.C. and Seattle, commonly referred to as the Cascadia Innovation Corridor.
The flights will take off twice in the morning and twice in the afternoon, Monday through Friday. Officials say the flight will take only an hour and will help streamline travel for businesses and tourism.
In Vancouver, the seaplanes will drop off at Coal Harbour while Lake Union will be the pickup and drop off location in Seattle.
