New Coeur d’Alene brewery pays homage to the great outdoors
COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – Are you familiar with that feeling after a tough hike or a morning of snowshoeing? That feeling of both accomplishment and exhaustion?
For Kirk Chaffin and Jeanine Raymond, there is no better feeling in the world.
They call it “Trails End” and have chosen that to be the inspiration behind their new Coeur d’Alene brewery.
The couple spends their free time chasing that feeling as they explore both the sites and brews of the Pacific Northwest. Now, they’re working to open Trails End Brewery, which they hope will be a place for other outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy craft beer (or home-brewed root beer) and share stories of their adventures.
Raymond said the brewery will have 20 rotating taps that will feature ambers, stouts and, of course, IPAs — Chaffin’s favorite.
Patrons will also be able to enjoy artisan pizza made in the brewery’s wood stone pizza oven.
Trails End is slated to open along Highway 95 and Bosanko Ave in mid-March, though no date has officially been set. Learn more about the new brewery by visiting their website.
