New Christmas candies for you to enjoy
Whether you like it or not, the holidays are upon us.
This time of year is great! Everyone is summered-out and ready to “cozy on up by the fireplace and dim those Christmas lights” as it were…or maybe that’s just the Michael Buble in me.
As well all know, the holidays are a time to eat, drink and be merry. Candy makers are able to (some would say cruelly) take advantage of this fact and make delicious treats for us to enjoy.
Here are a few holiday treats that will be, and probably already are, available for you to try:
REESE’S PIECES TREES
Resee’s has already had trouble with this particular candy. In 2015, their Christmas trees caused something of an uproar on social media after the company released them.
People said that the candy looked a little like…well I’ll just say that the jokes were not the most mature.
The peanut butter and chocolate treats are back, but this time they are stuffed with Reese’s pieces. They are also allegedly shaped more like trees and not so much the other thing that starts with a “t”.
PEEPS GIANT GINGERBREAD MEN
Ah Peeps; you either love ’em or you hate ’em. This Christmas, people will be greeted with a new marshmallowy treat from the company.
Everyone, meet the Giant Gingerbread Man. This 4-inch tall, gingerbread flavored boy will be a fun, fluffy addition to your candy platter this year.
If you don’t want to eat him, you have another option. He could act as a great center piece for your gingerbread house or diorama.
HOT COCOA HERSHEY’S KISSES
We covered this one in another story, but it has already hit the shelves.
Hershey’s Kisses have been a staple of Christmas candy collections for a while now. This one has quickly proved to be a good addition to the group.
Do you want to please your guests this season? It couldn’t be easier with these.
They are simple, taste like hot chocolate and they’re a crowd favorite.
