Needed rain in the forecast for Thursday, but not for everyone – Kris
There’s rain in the forecast tonight and tomorrow, but only for some of us. It’s more windy, dusty, dry weather for others. Steady rain will move in overnight in a line from Pullman through Coeur d’Alene and into the northern Panhandle of Idaho. It’s almost as if the wet weather knows where the border is, because we might not even get a sprinkle in Spokane! The chance of rain will develop in the early morning hours and taper off by noon. As the rain tapers off, the winds pick up. Expect a windy day across the region with gusts of up to 30 mph. Highs will top out in the upper 60s, which is just a little below average.
Another weak disturbance brings a chance of light showers on Friday, but the best chance of wide-spread precipitation will come late Friday night into early Saturday morning. We might even get measurable rain in Spokane. Once that system exits, expect a mostly dry weekend with a warming trend. Temperatures will continue to climb into early next week.
