Avista fixes South Hill power outage
SPOKANE, Wash. — A power outage that previous shut the lights off for more than 17,000 people has been corrected by Avista crews.
According to the Avista outage map, there were roughly several areas facing outages — the Glenrose area, Lincoln Heights, Moran Prairie, and Comstock, at its peak leaving 17,596 people without power. The cause of the outage was listed as ‘equipment failure.’
Another outage was caused by a motor vehicle accident, and and was restored around 1:30 p.m.
