Motum “questionable” for Monday’s game

Cougars take down Idaho in battle of border rivals

Washington State head coach Ken Bone says there’s a slim chance that leading scorer Brock Motum will play on Monday night in the championship series opener against Pittsburgh.

Motum suffered a sprained ankle early on in Wednesday’s win over Oregon State and did not return.  The junior forward did not practice on Friday or Saturday, and has a boot on his right foot.

“It’s not like it’s excruciating pain where it’s that bad that I can’t handle it, but it’s obviously a sprained ankle so it’s the pain that it is,” said Motum.

“The trainers are doing everything they can to get him back as quickly as possible, but he’s questionable,” said Bone.  “There’s a better chance he’ll play Wednesday.”

Bone says that it will be a game-time decision as to whether or not Motum plays in Monday night’s game at Beasley Coliseum.
