Mother of child in AMBER Alert in “satisfactory condition” after being stabbed

A woman stabbed early Tuesday morning had served divorced papers to the suspect, according to a release sent by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a home on E. Blossey in Spokane Valley around 5:00 a.m. Tuesday. When they arrived, they found the side gate wide open. When they knocked on the front door, they heard a woman inside screaming for help.

The front door to the home was locked, so deputies moved to the back of the house and found a rear door wide open. When they entered the home, deputies found the woman was bleeding profusely from what they believe to be stab wounds.

The victim said she had recently filed for divorce against Justin Robertson. She said he stabbed her, then abducted their son Ethan.

Ethan was eventually found safe and his father, the suspect, shot himself before authorities could apprehend him.
