Charles LaSalle was honored for his saving a 3-year-old boy while on patrol duty.

A student at Moran Prairie Elementary was inducted into the 2019 AAA School Safety Patrol Hall of Fame Tuesday.

Charles LaSalle was on patrol duty when he pulled a three-year-old boy, who was riding a bike, out of the street to protect him from an approaching vehicle.

AAA Washington selects top patrollers from top schools across the state every year to honor their accomplishments. On Tuesday, LaSalle was visited in his classroom by Spokane Police officers, including Chief Craig Meidl.

Way to go, Charles!
