Spokane Heath District hosting monkeypox vaccine clinic August 23

SPOKANE, Wash.– The Spokane Regional Health District will host a monkeypox vaccination clinic on Tuesday, August 23.

SRHD will provide a limited number of vaccinations to people at high risk for monkeypox infection from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Because of the limited availability of the vaccine, SRHD has a list of criteria patients must meet to schedule an appointment.

The district will offer the JYYNEOS vaccine. The vaccine is currently approved for ages 18 and older.

People with high risk of contracting the virus can register for an appointment at the SRHD wesbsite.
