Mom allegedly uses Taser on son to wake up for Easter church service
“I said, ‘Get up! It’s Jesus’ day!'” Sharron Dobbins said in a KNXV-TV interview.
Dobbins was arrested on Easter Sunday after she allegedly used a Taser to get her son up to go to church.
Phoenix police officers arrested her and she was booked into jail on a felony child abuse charge, KPHO-TV reported Maricopa County Court documents said.
The arrest report said, “Mrs. Dobbins stated she only sparked the Taser to get the kids up for church on Easter and that she never tased anyone.”
“I don’t think I did anything wrong because you’re supposed to put God first,” Dobbins told KNXV. “That’s all I was trying to do, is tell my kids to put God first.”
According to the media reports, her 16-year-old son was not injured, but he did have two bumps on his leg where he was allegedly shocked.
Dobbins will be back in court on April 16, while her son stays with relatives.
