Mobius Science Center set for summer opening

Scientists, get those goggles ready! The Mobius Science Center has announced it will open its doors August 3rd, with a grand opening set for September 8.

The 28,000-square foot center is already under construction at 811 West Main in downtown Spokane, directly across from Riverpark Square. It will include classrooms, an exhibit floor, cafe, store and mezzanine. When completed, the science center will host 65 hands-on exhibits in the fields of medicine, science, robotics, space and flight and more.

The center is more than 10 years in the making. Already, kids under eight enjoy the Mobius Kids Childrens Museum across the street, in the basement of the mall. The new center will help kids of all ages enjoy and experiment with science and technology.

“We’re excited to inspire the community’s curiosity and imagination as we begin previewing exhibits,” said Mobius Science Center CEO Chris Majer. “The scale, variety and innovation of our exhibits will be world-class, and all of them are accessible and fun for all ages.”
