Mathnasium celebrates grand opening on the South Hill

A new business on Spokane’s South Hill hopes to make math fun for local students.

Mathnasium is a math tutoring center that helps school kids of all ages better develop their math skills.

The center on E. 29th Ave. celebrated its grand opening Wednesday, just in time for Pi Day. Kids there came ready for the event, reciting as many digits from the mathematical constant as they could from memory.

The big scissors used to cut the official ribbon were the same ones used by President Nixon during the opening ceremony of Expo ’74.

To schedule a free assessment, call the center at 509-960-6284 (MATH), or email them at spokanesouth@mathnasium.com. You can learn more about the center here.
