Mark Peterson, Pullman first responders celebrate Zoey’s 9th birthday with parade
PULLMAN, Wash. — Nine-year-old Zoey, like many other children, had to spend her birthday in quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
But, that didn’t stop Pullman’s finest from pulling out all the stops.
The Sheriff’s Office, Fire Department and Police Department drove by her house to wish her a happy birthday on Thursday.
4 News Now’s Mark Peterson also got to join in on the fun!
“The boys and I made a roadtrip. We had a great time!” he said.
Not only did those participating celebrate Zoey, they celebrated her mom Crystal who is currently fighting blood cancer.
Parade birthday parties are becoming the norm during quarantine and Peterson said if you have the chance, you should participate. He said the outpouring of love and community made the trip more than worth it.
Happy birthday, Zoey!
