Here is when the Mariners will face off against the Blue Jays
TORONTO — Game times for the Mariners’ postseason journey have been announced.
The M’s will travel to Toronto, Canada, to face the Toronto Blue Jays in the Wild Card round of the 2022 MLB playoffs.
First pitch for Game 1 and Game 2 is at 1:07 p.m. Both games will be broadcasted on ESPN. Luis Castillo will take the hill for the Mariners and Alex Manoah will start for the Blue Jays in Game 1.
If a Game 3 is needed, first pitch is at 11:07 a.m. and will be broadcasted right here on 4 News Now!
The Mariners clinched their first playoff spot in 21 years after beating the Oakland Athletics last week thanks to a walk-off home run by catcher Cal Raleigh.
Julio Rodriguez, Mitch Haniger and company will battle in a three-game series against the Blue Jays, who have a fair share of talent of their own. Vladimir Guererro Jr., Teoscar Hernandez, Alejandro Kirk and Bo Bichette are some of the names to look out for.
There are also some faces on the Blue Jays that the Mariners are familiar with. Former divisional opponents Matt Chapman and George Springer will be looking to cause havoc against the M’s and former Seattle Mariners starter Yusei Kikuchi may get a chance to avenge his old team.
No starters have been named for Game 2, but some names to keep an eye out for on the Mariners are former Blue Jays pitcher Robbie Ray and Logan Gilbert.
