Man indicted for threats against Spokane County sheriff
SPOKANE, Wash — A man previously arrested for making online threats against Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich has been officially indicted in federal court.
Federal prosecutors say 23-year Jaydin Ledford threatened Knezovich’s life in online posts, specifically referencing comments Knezovich made about a new gun rights law passed by voters last fall.
According to agents, Ledford wrote “Ozzie Knezovich is gonna get a bullet in his skull.”
Agents say after Ledford was arrested at his home in Omak last month, he admitted making the threats and said Knezovich should be afraid for his life.
He was originally arrested on charges of making threats in interstate communications.
The indictment this week charges him with that, along with cyberstalking.
A judge ordered that Ledford not be allowed bail and he’ll be held in jail until his trial, which is currently set for May.
