Man who was hit by car while crossing at Pines hospitalized

Suspect crashes into car, kills driver

SPOKANE, Wash. — A man was hit by a car while crossing the street near Pines on Friday.

According to Washington State Patrol, 78-year-old Ronald Davis was walking eastbound on Olive and attempting to cross Pines when the crash took place, just after 6 p.m.

Troopers said Denia Correa, 48, was driving northbound when her car struck Davis.

Davis was injured and taken to Sacred Heart.

Troopers said the crash was caused by Correa failing to yield.
