Man continues paper route after he’s been stabbed
An Alaska man continued to deliver newspapers to homes on his route Tuesday after he was stabbed multiple times, reports KTVA.
The victim’s wounds were first noticed by residents of an apartment building. A woman said residents found bloody newspapers and a blood trail to the door, prompting someone to call police.
Police and medics arrived to the man’s home around 8 a.m. and upon seeing his wounds, decided to take him into the hospital to seek medical treatment. Based on his injuries, officers believed the victim had been attacked by dogs, and it wasn’t until he arrived at the hospital that it was revealed he suffered from being stabbed.
Police were expected to question the victim to get more information about the incident as his recovery permitted.
“That’s one of our big questions is why he didn’t call 911 immediately,” Anchorage Police Department spokesman MJ Thim said.
