Man charged with vehicular manslaughter after crash kills Clarkston teen
LEWISTON, Idaho — A 19-year-old Clarkston man was killed early Saturday morning in Lewiston, Idaho, after his car was hit by a semi-truck that ran a stop sign.
Hayden Garrett was killed on Highway 128 when his car was struck by a Swift Transportation semi-truck that failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Highway 128 and the Old North South Highway, in front of the Hillary Motel.
The driver of the trailer-tractor, 31-year-old Pompeyo Salazar-Cabrera, was booked into the Nez Perce County Jail on the charge of vehicular manslaughter.
This investigation is ongoing and Lewiston Police are asking anyone who witnessed the accident or has information to the collision to call the LPD at 208-746-0171
