Man arrested on US 95 in Idaho for trafficking marijuana

A 61-year-old man was arrested and charged with trafficking marijuana Thursday afternoon on U.S. Route 95 in Nez Perce County.

Idaho State Police stopped a white Buick Lacrosse traveling south on Highway 95 near milepost 307 for an expired registration.

The driver, Phillip S. Tschimperle, had a felony warrant for his arrest out of Minnesota.

Tschimperle admitted to ISP that he possessed drug paraphernalia in his vehicle. Authorities seized 35 pounds of marijuana from the vehicle, including drug paraphernalia.

Tschimperle was arrested and booked for trafficking marijuana (over 25 pounds), possession of schedule 2 controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana oil resin.
