Man arrested for shooting his brother during altercation
A Grant County man is in jail on suspicion of shooting his brother during a Thursday morning confrontation .
Around 10:45 a.m., Grant County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a dispatched call for shots fired in a home in the 4200 block of Stratford Road, just outside the Moses Lake city limits.
Rolando M. Adamé, 59, is being held at Grant County Jail on suspicion of first degree assault-domestic violence. The incident is still under investigation, but the confrontation was confirmed involving Rolando and his brother Rojelio Adamé, 49. The Sheriff’s Office says Rolando Adamé allegedly aimed a shotgun toward Rojelio Adamé and fired once.
Rojelio Adamé sustained injuries to his hand, leg and lower torso. He fled with two companions to a location on Longview Street within city limits. From there, he was transported by paramedics to Samaritan Hospital.
The Sheriff’s Office says his wounds are considered non-life threatening.
Rolando Adamé was arrested without incident at the home.
