Man arrested for domestic violence assault after standoff
SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane police arrested a man who caused an hour-long standoff at 34th and Arthur early Monday morning.
The call began as a domestic violence assault call on Sunday night.
When police arrived, the victim had left the house, but warned police the man was inside with weapons.
The man refused to come out, so police called an armored vehicle and a K-9 unit, and alerted neighbors to contain the risk to the public.
The man was eventually coaxed outside just after midnight and arrested. He is charged with misdemeanor assault for domestic violence.
