Luminary tribute to light up Pavilion Park throughout Memorial Day weekend

LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. — The public is invited to join in a Memorial Day tribute at Pavilion Park in Liberty Lake.

A lighted luminary tribute will be held at the park starting Friday and continuing into Tuesday. Each luminary represents a service member who has given the ultimate sacrifice.

“The light of the candle symbolizes the light that lives on in each of us, especially our Gold Star Families, as they continue to adapt to life without their loved one here on earth. May our memories of the fallen continue to light the way for us,” the Liberty Lake Centennial Rotary Club said.

Those who would like to be involved can also sponsor a luminary by clicking here. All proceeds support the Inland Northwest Honor Flight and Liberty Lake Hometown Heroes Project.

The luminaries will be displayed all weekend long. The Rotary Club will also be hosting a breakfast and Memorial Day Program on Monday morning.
