Looking to avoid Bloomsday? Here are some activities that don’t involve running
SPOKANE, Wash. — The annual Lilac Bloomsday Run will take over downtown Spokane on Sunday and, as always, you can expect lots of people and lots of traffic.
If running isn’t your thing, but you still want to get out and enjoy your weekend, you’re in luck! Here are some non-running related events for you to enjoy.
Head to Silverwood
The theme park officially opens for the season on Saturday. All this weekend, tickets are just $19.88 to commemorate the year Silverwood opened. Plus, the forecast for Sunday is looking mighty fine!
Instead of running a 12k, gorge on pancakes and mimosas! Spokane, Spokane Valley and Coeur d’Alene are full of great places to eat brunch. Have you tried Luna? What about Cottage Cafe? ten/6!
Stroll through Manito’s Japanese Garden
Manito will be empty with all the folks running Bloomsday, Enjoy the Sunday sunshine by taking a stroll through the Japanese Gardens.
Take a scenic boat ride on Lake Coeur d’Alene
Lake Coeur d’Alene cruises return this weekend. Hop on board to enjoy a scenic, 90-minute boat ride around the lake.
Hit the slopes
You read that right! Silver Mountain is reopening on Sunday for a *free* day of skiing.
Go see a movie
Have you seen Avengers: Edgame yet? What are you waiting for?! Several area movie theaters have a full list of showings for Sunday. The Garland Theater will also be showing movies starting at 12:30 p.m.
