Looking for a teaching job? Attend the Idaho Educator Career Fair
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — While teaching jobs in Washington are being cut, education leaders in Idaho are holding an event to hire more.
Idaho’s Department of Education has been hosting job fairs “to help fill teaching vacancies and keep promising educators in Idaho.”
They’re looking for recent graduates with a bachelor’s degree in education, current students who are studying education and will graduate within a year, out-of-state teaching candidates, or those who already hold an Idaho teaching certification.
At the career fair, aspiring teachers will be able to, “discover pathways to become an educator in Idaho,” and meet with school districts to find teaching opportunities. The event is at the Best Western Plus Coeur d’Alene Inn, located at 506 West Appleway Avenue, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14. It’s free to attend. The Educator Career Fair, now in its fifth year, also assists districts in their recruitment efforts and provides a resource for Idaho teacher education programs aiming to place their graduates.
Earlier this spring, career fairs were held in Nampa, Twin Falls and Blackfoot.
