Looff Carrousel to open Saturday, May 12
SPOKANE, Wash. — After months of construction on its new home in Riverfront Park, the Looff Carrousel will officially open on Saturday, May 12.
The City of Spokane’s Parks and Recreation department has announced there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 1:00 p.m. and festivities will continue until 7:00 p.m.
Rides are just $2 per person and kids under 2-years-old are free with a paid adult.

Riverfront Park’s Looff Carrousel is on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of America’s most beautiful and well preserved hand-carved wooden carrousels.
The new, expanded Looff Carrousel building incorporates a climate controlled space to protect the longevity of the wood carvings.
The new, larger facility will be able to better host everything from birthday parties to corporate events, and provides expanded restrooms, concessions and a gift shop
Since it opened in Riverfront Park in 1975, The Looff Carrousel has averaged about 275,000 riders per year.
