Local second grader heads to national Braille Challenge
SPOKANE, Wash. — Meet Russell Winkler, a second grader at Garfield Elementary who’s headed to the 2019 Braille Challenge national finals next month.
Winkler is one of fifty visually impaired students acrossed the country who will be attending.
The challenge is set to take place in California and will consist of proofreading, reading and spelling.
