Local mountains see several inches of new snow over the last 24 hours

Pow alert! Local ski mountains saw several inches of snow fall from Monday into Tuesday morning.

If you’re looking for something to do on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day, you may want to head to the mountains.

Local ski areas saw several inches of snow fall between Monday and Tuesday morning, with 49° North seeing the most.

49° North had 6 inches of new snow fall between Monday and Tuesday.  Chairs 1, 3, 4, 5 and the conveyor are now open.

Mt. Spokane had 3 inches of snow fall since Monday and all lifts are now open.

The North Idaho mountains did not fare as well. Silver and Schweitzer Mountains only got 1 inch of new snow and Lookout Pass did not get any at all. However, Sandpoint is expected to get between 4-6 inches of snow as Tuesday continues.
