Local cycling club donates meals to Ronald McDonald House

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Valley Cycling Club held a fundraiser that resulted in 180 meals being donated to families staying in the Spokane Ronald McDonald House.
Organized by member Stephen Woodard, the group raised over $2,100 to purchase meals from local restaurants Craft and Gather, Caruso’s, Señor Froggy’s Mexican Restaurant and Prohibition Gastro Pub.
“We had a great support from the members and we were glad to be able to help,” said Woodard.
Woodard and his wife donated 50 additional meals on their own, too.
“It covers all the bases, helping a charity, helping local restaurants and bringing aid in the power of a large group pooling their resources all with social distancing,” said Woodard.
