Local credit unions help make Christmas special for Longfellow Elementary
SPOKANE, Wash. — STCU, Numerica, and Spokane Federal Credit Union have been collecting Christmas gifts and supplies to help make Christmas special for families of Longfellow Elementary.
They say it’s part of their “people helping people” philosophy, and they look forward to this event every year.
They were overwhelmed with the amount of need this year.
“Our elves were busy at all three credit unions gathering all kinds of gifts for the kiddos, and food,” said Susan Cerutti-Jensen, Spokane Federal Credit Union Marketing Director. “Warm winter clothing was a real need. And then we were able to bring it over here today, we’ve got Santa over here. We’ve been having a lot of fun.”
Members from the credit unions handed out the gifts Wednesday, including games, toys, books, food items, and much needed winter clothing.
