Local business leaders help Salvation Army Spokane kick-off Red Kettle season

For the first time in the US, local business owners and community leaders are helping the Salvation Army with one of their most-beloved fundraising efforts, bell ringing with the iconic red kettles!

Through Thursday, November 15, expect to see lots of enthusiastic bell ringers and decorated red kettles in front of your favorite businesses in downtown Spokane. Local business owners, community leaders and organizations are teaming up with the Salvation Army to help make this Red Kettle season a huge success. During business hours, both indoors and outdoors, they’ll join the tens of thousands of Americans who help raise millions for the Salvation Army every year.

The Good Morning Northwest Crew stopped by the Spokane Club and Lexus of Spokane this morning, as they prepared for day 2 of bell ringing. The Spokane Club said employees are focusing their efforts outdoors, per tradition. While Lexus of Spokane explained that they doubled their goal and even provided a few incentives like Gonzaga basketball tickets and a stay at the Davenport. To be entered to win those prizes, you can stop in to donate or click here.

Other businesses like My Fresh Basket, Washington Trust Bank and Carhartt have had special appearances by Santa, free hot cocoa and cookies and some kettle popcorn to match the red kettles!
