Local animal sanctuary could use your leftover pumpkins
MEAD, Wash. — A Mead animal sanctuary wants you to consider giving them your leftover pumpkins this year, instead of throwing them in the trash.
Higher Ground Animal Sanctuary said the animals would love the donations.
They cannot accept pumpkins that have been painted on or are moldy. They ask that you take out all candles and other litter from the pumpkins before donating.
You can leave donations outside the goat enclosure as you drive up, on Nov. 1- Nov. 4, between 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
The address is 16602 N. Day Mt. Spokane Rd. in Mead.
You can also take donations in Liberty Lake to the Greenstone Office at 1421 N. Meadowwood Ln. Suite 200.
