Lisa Michelle Jeffers
MY sweet beloved wife, Lisa Michelle Jeffers, age 52, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday February 11, at Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane WA.
Lisa was born August 16, 1965 in Kennewick WA. to Joseph and Dana (Michaels) Sexton. She attended Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane WA. and pursued courses at Spokane Community College. One of her earliest jobs was at Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma WA. She had a lifelong love of caring for all animals. Her beloved pets are her dog Daisy and her cats Kitty, Bandit and Peppy. Lisa retired from WSU in 2012. This allowed her time to pursue her passionate love for her Lord Jesus Christ, going on mission trips to Mexico with her friends and missionaries, Sonya and Victor Mayoral. She taught Middle Sunday School class at Palouse Federated Church and volunteered at Care Net of the Palouse. She enjoyed serving meals at church taking meals to friend’s homes and inviting people over for dinner. She is a passionate cook that always made an effort to use organic ingredients in hope of promoting a healthier lifestyle for her friends and family. It brought her great joy to be able serve others and witness to the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Lisa enjoyed camping on the St. Joe River with family, rock collecting, traveling, raising a strictly organic non-GMO garden, fellowshipping with other Christians, especially spending time with her friends, family and her cherished nephews and niece. She loved volunteering, fishing and felt that learning something new daily was important for personal growth. It brought her great joy to give her time, love, and important possessions to people she thought would enjoy them.
Lisa had a huge heart that always thought of others first. She will be missed by everyone who knew her, especially her husband and family.
Lisa is survived by her husband Tony of Palouse, her father Joe Sexton of Las Vegas, NV, sisters Cherrie Sexton of Las Vegas, NV, and Jeleen Sexton of Oahu, HI, her mother Dana Ault of Spokane, WA, step father Meredith, sister and brother Angie Ault and Chris Ault of Spokane, mother-in-law Jean Jeffers, brother and sister-in-law David and Kelly Jeffers, nephews and nieces, Wyatt, Gus and Carly Jeffers of Portland and nephew Toran Jeffers of Boise, ID, Aunt and Uncles Robbie and Vickie Sexton, and David Sexton.
Your affectionate smile and big heart has always been who you are. You know how much I will miss the beautiful person and everything you have been for me. God has certainly gained another beautiful soul, I cannot wait till I see you again my angel. I love you, so much.
