HAYDEN, Idaho --- Want to jumpstart a healthier lifestyle for your kids?
The Panhandle Health District can help with a 12-week, one-class-per week program in a few weeks.
The PLAY Program empowers parents to participate with their kids to create and lead healthier lifestyles.
"PLAY" in this case stands for "Parents Leading Active Youth".
According to the official website, the program uses the 5-2-1-0 goals to develop a healthy foundation and help kids and families will be sure to thrive well into the future.
PLAY will allow you to challenge yourself and your kid(s) with weekly goals and earning rewards every time you achieve them.
You will learn how to easily incorporate movement, fruits and vegetables, and decrease screen time and sweet drinks. All while learning new skills and trying new activities!

4 News NowThe program starts on Tuesday, Feb. 7 and ends on Thursday, May 4.
Each class is once a week from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
It's for kids ages 6 to 11 and at least one parents or guardian is required to participate.
The course costs $300 and financial assistance is available.
The PLAY program has three to four sessions per year at Panhandle Health District, located at 8500 N Atlas Rd in Hayden.
