Learn to make dumplings and enjoy eating them at the Dumpling Festival
SPOKANE, Wash. – As a part of Spokane Chinese New Year Celebrations, the Sister Cities Association of Spokane is hosting a Dumpling Festival at the Southside Community Center.
The organization is partnerring up with the Spokane Public Library to put together an impressive line-up for the afternoon. It will be filled with learning opportunities, entertainment and a whole lot of delicious food!
The Spokane Public Library will provide a dumpling history lesson before giving a dumpling-making demonstration that families are invited to participate in. Cultural performances and dumpling samples are also on the agenda. These events are free for the public to enjoy. Last year, they taught 175 people in their dumpling making class!
The festival is set for Saturday, February 8 from 12 to 5 p.m. It is a ticketed event, where guests are invited to sample a variety of different, homemade dumplings.
