Latah County Designated as Primary Natural Disaster Area
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced today that they are designating twelve counties in Idaho as primary natural disaster areas to due to damage and losses cause by excessive rain, flash flooding, flooding, a freeze and high winds that began on January 1st of this and year and have been continuing. Qualified farm operators in Latah County are eligible for low-interest emergency loans from USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA). FSA will consider each loan application on its own merits, taking into account the extent of losses, security available and repayment ability.
