Last minute Halloween costume ideas that won’t break the bank
SPOKANE, Wash. — Value Village has become so much more than a thrift shop. Come October, every year, it transforms in to costume central for Halloween. There, they have got everything from new and used costumes, masks, and wigs, to makeup and accessories– all under one roof. Perfect if you have put off waiting till the very last minute to get your costume assembled!
Britney Morgan is one of the employees who goes from cashier to costume consultant every fall.
She’s there to help you navigate the aisles and brainstorm up some fun ideas!
She said this year the most popular costumes are anything pop culture-related. Superheroes, the Incredibles and Star Wars-themed costumes fly off the shelves.
If you’re looking for a quick and easy costume, Britney recommends going with a “bagged” costume, that includes everything you would need to transform in to character.
If you’ve got some time and don’t want to break the bank, shop the second-hand racks for cheaper looks, or better yet your own closet.
If you have no time after work to get ready for a big party or trick-or-treating, Britney shared simple ways to use your work clothes to your advantage.
“If you wear a simple dress, you could bring a witch hat, throw that on. Grab a broom!”
Throwing on an ugly Christmas sweater can get double the use this season if you’ve already got Christmas parties on your calendar.
Value Village Spokane will be open until 9pm on Halloween night.
