Kootenai county K9 Manus laid to rest
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — A Kootenai County Sheriff’s K9 was laid to rest Sunday.
K9 Manus had been suffering medical issues. He began his law enforcement career in 2013 with Deputy Lyons as his handler.
During their time together, Dep. Lyons and K9 Manus were responsible for catching numerous suspects. KSCO said Sunday, “K9 Manus was a loyal and courageous partner to Dep. Lyons during his career. K9 Manus was a loved member of our Sheriff’s Office family and will be greatly missed. It is with heavy hearts that we must say goodbye to K9 Manus.”
The Sheriff’s office added, “K9 Manus, your watch is over. Rest in peace.”
