K9 Enzo tracks suspect, man arrested for burglary

A man was arrested early Tuesday morning after he burglarized a coffee stand in west Spokane.

Spokane County Deputy Phil Pfeifer and K9 Enzo responded to the 2900 block of W. Sunset Blvd. to assist Spokane Police officers searching for a man who broke into a coffee stand and fled the area.

K9 Enzo tracked the suspect from the business to a locked bathroom door at a nearby park and alerted Deputy Pfeifer. At first, the suspect refused to exit but eventually surrendered without incident.

34-year-old Cameron D. Simmons was arrested by Spokane Police and booked into the Spokane County Jail for second-degree burglary.
