Jumping from the 70s to the 80s this week!?
The warming trend continues...
SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane finally hit the 70°F mark on Sunday. The official high was 72°F at Spokane International Airport.
Although the average highs for Spokane are still in the mid 60s this week, Spokane was overdue for its first 70°F day of the season. The mean date for the first 70°F or higher day is April 16th.
If the forecast holds we’ll only log 5 days in the 70s before we hit the 80s! Our Friday forecast calls for temperatures in the lower 80s, and that will continue through the weekend. The mean date for our first 80°F in Spokane is May 12th, so we’re close to right on time for this spike in temperatures.
High pressure off the coast will shift east in to the Inland Northwest on Friday bringing a strong warming and drying trend with lots of sunshine for the weekend.
