Jr. Lilac Parade returns to downtown Spokane Saturday
SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane’s beloved Jr. Lilac Parade returns to downtown on Saturday.
Each spring, the community comes together to celebrate local children.
Elementary and middle school bands, drill units, youth organizations and other clubs gather together and parade through the streets of downtown.
Local mascot celebrities like Butch, Swoop and Spike often make appearances. City and county officials, as well as area businesses, also join in on the fun.
The Jr. Lilac Parade has not been held for two years because of COVID. Organizers are excited to once again have the opportunity to host the event.
The parade kicks off at 12 p.m. Saturday. Below is a look at this year’s parade route.
